That pesky hedgehog may have said it’s still Winter for a while longer but Spring is definitely springing up all around Durango! One of the first indicators (besides the warmer temps) is the annual Durango Film Festival, March 2nd through March 6th. Catch some of the best independent films, documentaries, adventure films and several family movies around town.
In its 11th year, more and more people flock to Durango for this early spring weekend. If you love to laugh or can’t resist a good cry … my personal barometer for a good movie … there’s definitely a film for you! There are 108 independent films showing at the festival this year as well as special events, parties & various workshops and panel discussions.
You never know who you might run into in downtown Durango. On that note … you may remember her as Jamie Sommers, her Emmy winning role in The Bionic Woman, Lindsay Wagner is the Special Guest for the festival this year! Ms Wagner has starred in over 40 television movies and is now also an accomplished author. On Saturday, March 5th there will be “An Evening with Lindsay Wagner” at the Henry Strater Theater; an evening to celebrate Ms Wagner’s illustrious career spanning five decades, she will receive the Durango Film Artist of Distinction Award.
